Permanently Unable to Work Cover pays a lump sum if the life insured suffers a Sickness or Injury which means they
are unlikely ever to be able to work again. It will also pay a lump sum if the life insured suffers from
a Major Physical Impairment as defined by the policy. The Policy Owner can choose how to use any benefit payment,
whether for the reduction of debts or to replace income that has been lost as a result of an inability to work. A
Permanently Unable to Work benefit can also provide for medical treatment or ongoing care as well as pay for any home
modifications that are required.
Allianz Life offers two types of Permanently Unable to Work Covers:
- Own occupation cover
- Any occupation cover
Applications for Permanently Unable to Work Cover are subject to occupational eligibility and for a limited number of
occupations, only any occupation cover is available.
The maximum benefit payable for each life insured is the relevant Cover Amount shown on the policy schedule for the
relevant life insured.
The minimum Permanently Unable to Work Cover Amount that can be applied for is $100,000. The maximum Permanently Unable to

Inflation Proofing
Permanently Unable to Work Cover Amounts automatically increase each year to keep pace with inflation (the increase will be
the greater of the increase in the CPI over the previous year or 5%). Each year, premiums will be adjusted to reflect this
increase and any increase can be declined by advising in writing.
Eligibility for Permanently Unable to Work Cover
Anyone between the ages of 16 to 55 (inclusive) may apply for Permanently Unable to Work Cover. Allianz Life will ask you some questions
about your health, lifestyle and family medical history to determine whether or not they are able to offer you cover. Once a policy
has been accepted and issued, and provided premiums are paid as due, Allianz Life guarantees to renew it until the life insured's 65th
birthday.
